(for some reason i cant get a clear image to load, its all blurred I have tried a few different versions now to now avail, if you are having problems with it too use this link to view it http://twitpic.com/6yqco3)

Here for @TTHP_dot_org a perspective challenge I was given when I had to draw a futuristic cityscape for a job I had a while back and the process I used.

I built the whole city. Then picked an angle of the rooftops I liked. Drew the line from that and then coloured it up and lit it.

The client was unsure what angle they wanted this cityscape to be at, above, below etc, so instead of taking ages and ages drawing and redrawing the image I used Sketch-up, it was the first and only time I’ve used it on a job, but I think it worked. Managed to get a sign off on the Sketch-up city position and then illustrate the heck out of it.

I added and subtracted buildings as I thought best to suit. The focus was the orb spaceship that had landed rather than the city. Though you wouldn’t have thought so the amount of skylines I had to produce for them to pick the right on.

I would have lost my sanity if I didn’t have this tool at my disposal. So I cant recommend it enough for jobs like this.
