Glynn Dillons work is one of my main influences when I started drawing more comic based stuff at school. His work in Deadline was always amazing.
He was probably around 5 years older than me at the time too, as a lot of the Deadline artists weren’t that old. I think Jamie Hewlett first had Tank Girl published when he was around 20 which as a 13/14 year old I just loved.
That said I always liked Glyns work a little more than Jamie Hewlett’s and thought he did the best Jet Girl I ever saw in a Tank Girl strip. So, so good. Its a shame we dont see more of his work he just nails it every time I see some work, which isn’t as often as I used to see it. Which is a shame, hoping this is a sign of more of his stuff coming to light again.
Thanks for the tip Jonathan. Will be looking out for the book too.
Glyn Dillon’s page for Nelson. Oh boy! I’m in this book too and look what I have to contend with!?
Thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered the webstore exclusive NELSON hardcover! 100% of profits donated to Shelter, the housing and homeless charity.
Shown is a picture from Glyn Dillon’s incredible contribution to the book.
